Media release by Dunbar for Congress on January 4, 2018(FOREST, VA)—The Dunbar for Congress campaign released the following statement announcing the formation of its campaign team, including the hire of Jeff Roe with Axiom Strategies and Vic Gresham with Conquest Communications Group.
I am extremely fortunate to have assembled a great team with a record of winning with conservative candidates (said Cynthia Dunbar). Members of my team have strong resumes not only in Virginia politics, but as leaders in the national political space. I am confident that we have built a winning team that will successfully promote the conservative message of our campaign.
The Dunbar for Congress campaign will be led by longtime Virginia political advisor Vic Gresham. Gresham has extensive experience working in Virginia politics, as a founding Partner of Conquest Communications Group focusing on voter identification and turnout.
Cynthia Dunbar is by far the most qualified and best suited candidate to serve as the representative from Virginia’s 6th Congressional district (said Gresham). During my time in Virginia politics, I have seen few individuals as passionate and tenacious as Cynthia. These positive characteristics will allow her to be a leader in the conservative movement and fight alongside President Trump to drain the swamp.
The Dunbar for Congress campaign also announced the hiring of Jeff Roe and Ethan Zorfas with Axiom Strategies as principal advisors to the campaign, responsible for overall strategy, direct mail, and digital engagement. Roe and Zorfas recently led Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign in 2016.
We got to know Cynthia well during the Cruz presidential race and were honored when she asked us to join her campaign team (said Roe). Cynthia is a conservative warrior—the type of leader that we need to get elected in order to advance the conservative movement in Washington and boost the Republican party in Virginia.
The Dunbar campaign continues to build strength, as she has separated herself from the pack as the only true conservative candidate in the race for Virginia’s 6th district. This week, Dunbar announced her pledge to serve no more than three terms in Congress. This announcement came only a week after Dunbar’s public pledge to join the Freedom Caucus once elected. Dunbar continues to be the only proven conservative candidate in the race and is in the best position to take over the seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Bob Goodlatte.
