Someone recently asked what gives me my drive—how is it I have so much energy and stamina.
I had never thought about this much, but after contemplating it a bit, I realized that it might be interesting for you to know a little bit about my lifestyle and choices … perhaps they may prove informative and even inspiring to you.
Overall, my journey has been one of learning myself; as Aristotle said, “knowng thyself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
I have learned over the years to be aware of my emotions and thoughts, but not to be a slave to them. To be aware of who I am but also know that I can always make choices about what I perceive and what I feel. In this way, I believe I have become much more centered and calm and happy.
And I think it adds to my overall positive energy and attitude.
I also made a decision a couple of years ago to cut all grains out of my diet and, as much as possible, all sugar. This has made a tremendous difference, as I have lost a lot of weight and, in the process, become that much more aware of what I eat and how it affects my mood. I believe that a huge majority of our illnesses, both physical and mental, can be aided and sometimes even healed by a better diet.
Last, I am pursuing my dream of being a full-time performing artist, and this fuels me and inspires me and excites me. So, I think that if one can find a passion for something, a yen, and begin working towards making that dream come true, it can give one an innate and natural push and motivation that will act as extra energy in the body.
I hope this all proves helpful in some way to you, and I would love to hear back from you! Please always feel free to email me through this paper or directly, with comments, or even suggestions for ideas you may be interested in hearing me write about, at email@example.com.
