Almost all the world’s constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which ‘We the people’ tell the government what it is allowed to do. ‘We the people’ are free. (Ronald Reagan)
Why the Constitution Matters Today
With Adam White
Professor, Antonin Scalia School of Law, George Mason University
Celebrate the signing of the U.S. Constitution 230 years ago and remember why this historical, founding document is responsible for the success of our nation.
Rain or Shine
As we prepare in relative security to celebrate the Constitution, we pray for our fellow Americans who have recently lost everything, and for those who are now at risk of losing everything.
May we also find ways to help support recovery and rebuilding through charity.
The picnic will take place rain or shine.
We request that any donations you might have considered giving to RRLS be sent to a reputable charity to help hurricane victims.
