The rioting over the weekend in Charlottesville was the long anticipated eruption of two extremist masses colliding over a statue, but colliding over more than a statue. The collision took place on the streets of a small Virginia college town, which put Charlottesville at the epicenter of the clash between America’s sordid past of slavery and the haunting spectre of America’s divided future.
In the wake of the weekend violence and the tragic death of Heather Heyer (may her untimely death be for no reason), all kinds of accusations and blame are flying back and forth through social media and mainstream media (MSM) outlets. And, it becomes crystal clear that this particular clash was not simply over a statue depicting an historical figure, but it had more to do with a clash over America’s future as a nation.
Well over a year ago, Rob Shimshock, a University of Virginia student, wrote an article on this issue on March 16, 2016. The article entitled, “Virginia Social Justice Warriors Want to Tear Down Robert E. Lee Statue,” outlined the history behind the removal of the statue. At that time, Shimshock noted that the President of the Albemarle-Charlottesville NAACP chapter, Rick Turner, enlightened residents as to why the city should remove the statue:
On a change.org petition, high-schooler Zyahna Bryant terms the statue “very offensive,” explaining that “Robert E. Lee fought for perpetual bondage of slaves and the bigotry of the South that kept most black citizens as slaves and servants for the entirety of their lives.”
This same change.org petition has a grand total of 681 signatures at the time of publication, a tiny number when compared with the over 8,000 likes amassed by a Facebook page in favor of preserving the statue.
This collision has been long in the making, but the detractors of America had a great amount of time to prepare for the MSM production citizens view now as the two extremes had collided in the streets. Early this year in February, Allan Brownfeld wrote in an article entitled, “Blowing up American history and the sin of contemporaneity,” that the:
attack on the Robert E. Lee statue is, in reality, an attack on American history itself. It has also been suggested that the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial are inappropriate since they celebrate men who owned slaves.
Indeed, around the same time, it was reported that a group of 469 professors and students at the University of Virginia (UVA), were:
calling for the school’s President to stop quoting school founder Thomas Jefferson, on the grounds that Jefferson was a slave owner.
To be absolutely, brutally honest about this tragic incident, there are intently serious-minded manipulators in the shadows who could care less whether a precious life is lost, or who do not care one way or another about the slavery of America’s past. They care much more about a plan for a slavery of their own making for America’s future. These shadow people have names—one of them is George Soros, the multi-billionaire who is willing to pay protestors and rioters to cause havoc in American cities like Charlottesville, Chicago, or Portland, Oregon.
As in several demonstrations or riots all across America during the 2016 election, Leftist-activist paid-to-play protesters, Antifa and Marxist militants, “Black Lives Matter” radicals, random anarchists, and an assortment of wanna-be rioters showed up at Donald Trump campaign rallies loaded for violence. This was practice. These are the same kind of people (if not some of the same people) that opposed the ones who were demonstrating against the removal of Robert E. Lee’s statue. Is anyone fooled that either of these militant-oriented groups are representative of the general American culture?
The assortment of paid for demonstrators is not just a bunch of concerned citizens out for a day of demonstrating. No, the core of this bunch is mobile, militant, and well-organized. They are comparable to the modern day Brown Shirts of Hitler’s day when he was laying a foundation of intimidation and fear among the common people of Germany. The neo-modern Brown Shirts are capable of rapid deployment and can be bused from one end of the nation to the other. One needs to ask, who pays for them to move from city to city? And that question needs to be answered with a common sense question. Who would benefit from a weak and divided United States?
What is most amazing in the aftermath of the riotous activity in Charlottesville is how the MSM is revealing what it really is. Many outlets of the MSM criticized President Trump for not truly condemning the “White Supremacists” quickly enough, or strongly enough. Yet Trump was right—he condemned the actions of both sides. What the New York Times and the Washington Post, and the other assorted propaganda merchants want people to believe is that Trump is a racist. The problem with such narrative is that it cleverly sidesteps reality.
The other thing that the MSM ignores (besides much of reality) is the fact that the groups opposing the “White Supremacists” operate from such a radical extremist paradigm that their views oppose most of traditional American values. This speaks volumes about the MSM. Why should only the White Supremacists be condemned? Why indirectly support the radical and revolutionary Marxist and anarchist groups willing to go to extremes to make their statements and willing to use violence to intimidate people, hinder or halt freedom of speech, or to impinge upon people’s right of assembly. The American people should be happy that the MSM is revealing its true nature of support for Communist groups intent upon destruction of America.
By their way of handling this horrible incident in Virginia, the MSM is essentially revealing to the majority of the American people who can withstand their propaganda that they side with the Brown Shirts: the Leftist-activist paid-to-play protesters, Antifa and Marxist militants, “Black Lives Matter” radicals, and random anarchists. The corporate moguls of the MSM know how to use a good crisis to make lots of money. And, although it seems amazing that they would bite the hand of the capitalist system that has made them extremely wealthy, they get away with it. Citizens continue to soak up the political commentary, continue to eat their lies and feed on their fake news stories, or wonder naively why they do not cover certain “mainstream” news stories.
The New York Times still boldly proclaims pride that they publish “all the news that’s fit to print,” which speaks volumes about one of the chief propaganda merchants. That motto is code for only they can ascertain what is “fit” to print. This motto expresses such an elitist mentality that people should stop any subscriptions to the New York Times—they are a dinosaur and serve no useful purpose in this nation anymore. Americans are slowly realizing through violent events, like those that have terrorized the people in the cities of Charlottesville, or Ferguson, Missouri, or Portland, Oregon, that the majority of the MSM is the enemy of “We the People” because they show one side of the story, and usually condone the actions of the enemies of America. The MSM needs to be relegated to irrelevance because such blatant peddling of propaganda no longer serves a useful purpose for “We the People.”
