“CEASE AND DESIST” GLOBAL WARMING HOAX
SAYS WEATHER CHANNEL FOUNDER
Diligent observers of news and politics already know that the idea of man-made global warming is rejected as a hoax by the founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman. However, a video released by Coleman and news interviews provide valuable resources and specific details for better understanding the public controversy over the possibility that human activity is causing climate disruption.
Coleman produced and released an informational video titled “How the Global Warming Scare Began” which is extremely detailed and a great resource. Although it has been available for a few years, the information has been ignored in the global warming debate until recently re-published by Mark Simone on WOR radio out of New York here:
Coleman issued a ‘cease and desist’ letter to “The Scientists and Organizations that take 4.7 Billion Tax Dollars a year to continue Global Warming research.” (See video starting at time 4:20). The Weather Channel’s founder wrote in his ‘cease and desist’ letter:
please cease and desist the global warming and climate change scare campaign. … The four point seven billion dollars of our tax money a year being issued to you and your organizations to is funding a wide range of meaningless studies based upon the bad science of carbon dioxide radiative forcing warming. … Your manipulated climate computer models have dramatically failed both in temperature predictions and predicted warming signatures. Please admit your errors.
Coleman chastises the Weather Channel which he founded. He insists he was the founder, not co-founder. He explains how he extensively investigated the hypothesis of global warming and found it to be false, even though he insists that if it were true he would certainly want to protect the planet at all costs. He points out that those promoting climate alarmism are being funded to spread the alarm with $4.7 billion per year of government funding.
Similarly, Nobel Laureate in Physics Professor Ivar Giaeve addressed a 2012 meeting of Nobel Laureates in his presentation: “Global Warming is Pseudoscience.”
Giaeve brands global warming as “a new religion” because, he says, you can’t discuss it. He explains the difference between “real science” and “pathological science” in which people fool themselves in scientific research and “junk science” and “pseudoscience.” He criticized efforts to only look for evidence that confirms one’s preferred outcome.
Professor Giaeve rejected the concept of being able to measure the Earth’s temperature because we would have to average temperature measurements from every spot on Earth. Giaeve reminds us that temperature measurements using thermometers with standardized temperature scales and records started only around 1880, but the locations on the Earth being measured have changed dramatically from decade to decade.
Professor Giaeve gave an additional informative presentation here in 2015 as well. Giaeve earned a 1973 Nobel prize on super-conductivity, but says he got more attention attacking him for questioning man-made global warming.
Meteorologist John Coleman also provided further details in a contentious news interview on CNN which is a useful resource for understanding and debating this issue:
Coleman is a meteorologist with 60 years experience. Along with founding The Weather Channel, he was the original weathercaster on ABC’s “Good Morning America” with David Hartman and Joan Lunden. He obtained the American Meteorological Society’s full Professional Meteorologist membership in 1967. He was honored by the AMS as Broadcast Meteorologist of the Year. He later allowed his AMS membership to expire in protest of the AMS becoming more political than scientific.
Coleman started his career in television in 1953 at WCIA in Champaign, Illinois. He also worked in Peoria, Nebraska; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Chicago, Illinois. After starting The Weather Channel he moved to New York City and then for the past twenty years was weatherman for KUSI in San Diego, California. After 61 years of being on TV, he retired in April 2014.
It should be noted that proponents of the global warming hypothesis try to ignore scientists who doubt their hypothesis. They want to focus only on the opinions of ‘climate scientists’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSrjAXK5pGw , of whom there are maybe 18,000 world-wide. What is a climatologist (different from a meteorologist)? Why would anyone study the Earth’s climate these days other than to promote global warming? One definition says “Climatologists are atmospheric scientists who study the Earth’s climate.”
In other words, a climatologist is someone working under a government or foundation grant to promote the myth of global warming. Why would anyone hire a climatologist (rather than hiring a meteorologist) other than to promote the global warming scare? Take a look at Roy Spencer’s testimony in Congress. Talking about climatologists is like saying that gender equity studies majors believe that society is sexist.
Meanwhile, the Excalibur Report unearthed excerpts from scientists telling us in the 1970s that the global climate was cooling.
Who remembers the Global Cooling scare of the 1970's?

How much credibility should we give to people who tell us that the Earth is going into an ice age and then turn around two decades later and tell us that the Earth is warming? Maybe we should just stop and ask some hard questions before jumping when these people say jump. See, e.g., the testimony of geologist Dr. Don Easterbrook in the Washington legislature.
The untested hypothesis of change to the Earth’s climate caused by human activity rests on speculation about the burning of fossil fuels (wood, coal, natural gas, and oil) which releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Of course, humans did not create fossil fuels. They are part of nature. Wood and coal originally extracted carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere while releasing oxygen. Scientists believe that the Earth’s early atmosphere contained massive quantities of CO2 and very little oxygen, put plant life converts CO2 into oxygen among other effects through photosynthesis.
Therefore, an increase in CO2 in the atmosphere will necessarily be temporary as plants thrive and expand and consume the CO2 during photosynthesis, reducing atmospheric content back to previous equilibrium levels. The amount of plant life floating in the world’s oceans as algae is greater than all the plants growing on dry ground. Still, the most effective action people can take if concerned about CO2 is to plant a tree, or plant many trees. Plant life on Earth will thrive with increased CO2 in the air and will quickly return the atmosphere back to its prior equilibrium of CO2 and oxygen.
