Delegate Jim LeMunyon Receives “A+ Rating” from Virginia Chamber of Commerce
(Richmond)—The Virginia Chamber of Commerce recognized the work of Delegate Jim LeMunyon (R-Fairfax/Loudoun) at their 2017 Legislative Awards Event in Richmond yesterday evening by giving him an A+ Rating in their annual report card. The Chamber annually grades legislators based on their support of pro-jobs and pro-business legislation during the General Assembly session.
I appreciate this recognition of my 2017 General Assembly voting record by the Virginia Chamber (said LeMunyon). But let’s be clear, politicians don’t create jobs. It’s the private sector that creates jobs by providing the goods and services that people need in Virginia, the United States, and globally. I’m glad I can play a role as a legislator in fostering an economic climate in Virginia in which the creation and expansion of businesses and the creation of jobs can flourish.
With this in mind, it is great to see the Virginia Chamber recently acknowledge the successful businesses in the Northern Virginia and around the state, particularly the “Fantastic 50,” Virginia’s 50 fastest growing companies. As a former tech company entrepreneur, I know firsthand how important it is to do business in a state that supports small and large businesses alike, and the positive impact they have on our economy and our communities. The best social program in America is a good job.
