By Terry Beatley
Author of What If We’ve Been Wrong? and President of Hosea Initiative
No pink pussy hat for me thanks to a promise I made to the founder of NARAL Pro-Choice America!
In fact, I want to roar like a lion with a Make America Great Again baseball cap on my head as I stand with President Donald J. Trump—a Manhattan man—and deliver the parting message of Dr. Bernard Nathanson—a Manhattan ob-gyn doctor once known as America’s “Abortion King.” He deeply regretted founding NARAL and making possible the assembly slaughter of America’s children. I am sure Dr. Nathanson, had he been alive, would have had a red MAGA hat on his head during the March for Women AND the March for Life.
In a rare interview, I met with the 83-year-old terminally ill physician who referred to himself as the “Keeper of the Abortion Industry Keys” and a mass murderer. With a handshake and a sincere promise to teach America the strategy of his deceit—an 8-point propaganda campaign—and to deliver his personal parting message about love, I left his Manhattan apartment a changed woman.
Dr. Nathanson was personally responsible for the death of 75,000 people who paved the way for the Roe v. Wade decision. He desperately wanted Americans to understand how women have been exploited by the billion-dollar abortion industry that he made possible; the real costs of emasculating men, lost fatherhood, and broken families; how we’re not hearing the silent screams—literally— of the babies being ripped apart in their mother’s womb (watch Dr. Nathanson’s “Silent Scream” video on YouTube for the evidence); and his dismal predictions for our society as long as abortion is legal.
Dr. Nathanson then gave instructions on what to do once you learn this part of American history.
The cofounder of NARAL died wanting Americans to be liberated from his lies. This is why I wrote What If We’ve Been Wrong? The title comes from Dr. Nathanson’s 1975 resignation letter addressed to Lawrence Lader, Executive Director of NARAL.
Confusing? You bet.
Dr. Nathanson is one of the most complex, influential men in 20th century America, and yet, so few people even know his name—perhaps that includes fellow Manhattanite, President Trump, as well. But when I, as an American woman, mother, founder of Hosea Initiative, and recovered feminist, finish roaring with my red hat, Dr. Nathanson’s story of deceit and redemption, as well as his parting message, will be common place. As has happened before, many hearts and minds hell bent on spreading a culture of disposable human life will change through the powerful conversion story and parting message of this humble, old man who discovered the real meaning of love.
It is tough, though, to teach history relevant to today in an age of Twitter and constant news feed. In fact, it is a small miracle to have you read through this article! Maybe the stars, though, will align just right and President Trump will tweet: Read Terry’s book What If We’ve Been Wrong? Keeping my promise to America’s ‘Abortion King,’ I’ll keep hoping for this.
Or maybe Huffington Post will brave the treacherous waters of this sensitive issue and publish my articles exposing this industrial exploitation of women and defenseless children.
Maybe what will grab people’s attention is that Dr. Nathanson admitted to fast-tracking Margaret Sanger’s plan to eradicate the black race because “the pill” wasn’t doing the job—but “legal” abortion now is. Disproportionately, ~36% percent of all abortions are of black babies though only ~3-4% percent of the nation’s population are child-bearing age black women. In New York alone, ~31,000 black children were murdered through abortion in 2012 and only ~24,000 born alive. (New York Bureau of Vital Statistics, 2012) Yes, Dr. Nathanson made that possible.
Perhaps this question will entice a reader to learn history …
Who tried persuading Planned Parenthood to enter the abortion trade movement in 1970?
Who trained Planned Parenthood doctors how to kill children?
Maybe young parents will want to know about the legacy of Dr. Nathanson when they discover the abortion lobby has stolen their parental rights via judicial bypasses—a way for minors to get abortions without parental consent or knowledge—a big reason why I wear that red hat!
Wait, don’t stop reading, especially if you are Catholic! You must know about NARAL’s “Catholic Strategy.” Dr. Nathanson called it the “most brilliant political strategy of all time” because the strategy INTENTIONALLY separated voting Catholics’ religious convictions FROM their legislative judgment. In other words, NARAL purposefully tricked millions of Catholics into supporting pro-abortion candidates by selling them on the notion that one can be personally against abortion BUT every woman deserves the “right to choose” (to kill another human being). Hogwash. Don’t blame me. I’m just reporting the facts. Dr. Nathanson wrote extensively about the Catholic Strategy in his book, The Abortion Papers.
By the way, on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary in 1996 at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, New York, Dr. Nathanson became Catholic too after repenting for his crimes against humanity. He understood that social justice begins in the womb. Period.
Back to the MAGA hat and President Donald J. Trump.
He will be the first recipient of Hosea Initiative’s Bernard N. Nathanson, M.D. Life Award. My dream would be to present this at the Kennedy Center marking the end of a century in which the United States pushed abortion around the world and we usher in a new century in which the God-given gift of human life will be respected once again.
I’ll be wearing my Make America Great Again hat on that day at the Kennedy Center because righteousness exalts a nation. There is no place for abortion in a righteous nation.
