Media Release from Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) on October 19, 2016
On Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 10:30 AM, Fairfax County officials will join the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and other local and state officials from Maryland and Virginia, along with the Peterson Companies, to celebrate the launch of the NH2 Metrobus service between Alexandria and National Harbor.
The new route, which starts on Sunday, October 23, is operated by Metro and funded by National Harbor developer Peterson Companies, the City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, and the Maryland Department of Transportation in a unique public/private partnership.
Officials will take a preview ride on the new NH2 route Thursday followed by a press conference at National Harbor.
